How it works
The three phases every message goes through: receive, filter, deliver.

Every inbound message passes through three phases. The gateway answers your source in well under a second; delivery to your agent happens in the background, so your source is never left waiting.
Your source โโโถ Gateway URL โโโถ [ Receive โ Filter โ Deliver ] โโโถ Your agent 1 ยท Receive
The gateway accepts the message, confirms it is authentic and well-formed, and responds
202 Accepted to your source right away. Nothing downstream can make your
source time out โ once the message is in, Portarus owns it.
2 ยท Filter
The message is checked against the filters you configured โ rate limiting, deduplication, token budget, blacklist and keyword routing. Clean messages pass; abusive or duplicate ones are stopped and held for review. This is where the noise is removed before your model ever sees it.
3 ยท Deliver
The cleaned message is delivered to your agent's endpoint with a _portarus envelope appended โ a compact record of what was
detected, what passed, and a trace id for support.
Three outcomes
Allowed โ the message passes all filters and is delivered to your agent with the _portarus envelope.
Blocked โ a filter stopped it, so it is quarantined. You can review and replay it from the dashboard.
Bypass โ quota exceeded or the gateway paused, so the message is delivered directly, with no filters applied. Your agent is never cut off.
